Why Have Babies?

"Four is a good number, you're done, right?" This is a typical comment I get coupled with "What beautiful children you have!"  Well, these two comments don't really go together.  If my children are beautiful, why should I not want more of them?  Then, they would also say, "Wow, you have your hands full!"  Well, isn't better full than empty?

Candice Watters did an excellent job at answering the question of why have babies?  She writes:-1

You may think your reasons for having babies are biblical, but if you're like me, you've absorbed a lot more culture and a lot less Bible than you realize.

Do you hope to have children? That's the question I've started asking the young married women God brings into my life. It's not as bold as the question Mary Morken asked me,[1] but it gently opens the conversation about babies — enabling me to go, by God's grace, where most would say angels fear to tread.

Why press for information about such a personal decision? In part because I know how much I needed someone to ask me that question. Once married, Steve and I were on a path of delay. I also ask because we live in an age when there are a hundred reasons not to have babies and very little encouragement to have them; and because I'm convinced, from Scripture, that by God's design, babies are not only uniquely the work of marriage, but also a blessing from God. I want to encourage Christian couples not to miss the blessing.-2

What do women say when I ask? Their answers go something like this:

  • "Oh, yes, we hope to have children someday."

  • "We're focusing on our marriage right now."

  • "We're saving for a house first."

  • "We want to finish grad school before we start a family."

  • "We want to pay off our loans before we conceive."

It's pretty much the same answer I gave Mary when she asked me about our plan for babies. I think that's one of the reasons I feel compelled to ask. We didn't really have a plan, but our non-plan of waiting till we reached some fuzzy financial goal was a plan of its own. Our plan was to delay. Fourteen and a half years and five pregnancies later, I know how in-the-now and incomplete our reasons were for putting off babies in our first year and a half of marriage. We thought we were being responsible, and because we deeply desired a family and were looking forward to having children someday, we assumed we were being biblical in our thinking. But we had absorbed a lot more of the culture around us than we realized.

We live in a world where people take great pains and lots of pills to prevent babies when they don't want them, and spare no expense to get them when they do. According to our culture, babies before you want them are an accident, mistake or crisis — a result of a birth control failure. And if you can't have them naturally when you decide you're ready, they're treated like a commodity you have a right to buy, as long as you can afford the price tag. Birth control is no longer a noun, something we use to prevent pregnancy; it's an adjective describing our whole culture. We live in a birth control culture, the key word being control.
Good Reasons to Ask the Question-3

Mary's question, "What makes you think you'll still be fertile when you decide you're ready to have babies?" jolted me because it offended my sense of control. I figured I knew best when I'd be ready to be a mom. Even though I wasn't on the pill, I was very much in the birth-control mindset. I thought this decision was up to Steve and me. We believed we were in control. Her question hit me like a bucket of ice water.

What if we're not in control? What if by saying no to children now, we miss our window of opportunity? What then? These questions raced through my mind, and later that day, they raced around our family room as we hashed them out with the Morkens. God used them to challenge our assumptions. Steve saved his best counter for last: "But, Dr. Morken, we can't afford them." Dr. Morken didn't waste time looking at our balance sheet or examining our checkbook. He knew we weren't paupers, but even that wasn't the issue. (He and Mary had a fraction of what we did when they got married and started their family, as have most human beings for all of recorded history). The point is that it's not about money. He went to the deeper issue: "Babies are wealth," he said. "Budget for everything but babies."

You can't measure the worth of a baby — a human being made in the image of God — with a spreadsheet or calculator the way you would material things, entertainment, travel or education. People have intrinsic value and worth that is unlike anything else in creation.

The truth is we weren't living on much of a budget, and we weren't really being intentional about getting out of debt. We just knew we liked our current life, our freedom to spend our double incomes the way we wanted to, to have maximum control over our schedules and time. Having a baby would certainly spin us out of control. But not like a car wreck. More like a Peter-walking-on-the-water-and-needing-to-keep-looking-at-Jesus-so-he-wouldn't-drown wreck. This would be bigger than us. And we knew it. We didn't want to lose control.

But we never had it to begin with. Ephesians 1:11 tells us, "In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will …" (emphasis added). Isaiah 46:9b-10 says, "I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose…'" God is sovereign over what happens in our lives. Every bit of it.

The control we think we have is an illusion — something we realized once we started trying to get pregnant and it took longer than we imagined, and again after we had two babies, when we encountered secondary infertility. We really did think we'd be able to make babies if and when we were ready. We believed it was ultimately up to us. By God's grace and through the Morkens' challenge, however, we realized it wasn't. We stopped assuming our timeline was best; stopped basing our decision primarily on our comfort, ease and consumption patterns; and started asking God when He wanted us to start our family. We started seeking God's wisdom instead of the wisdom of men (Colossians 2:8). Scripture is sufficient for all of life — even the how, when and why of baby making (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:21).
Good Reasons to Have Babies

The world says babies are expensive, that they diminish your happiness, and that they limit your spontaneity. They are, they do, and they will — just like a whole host of other things (some worthwhile and some not) that you'll say yes to in your lifetime. Those negatives are not the whole story. And they're not reason enough to delay starting your family. Babies are wealth. They increase your joy, and any challenges they may bring are God's means for your sanctification.

Babies are God's blessing. God's first words to His newly created man and woman were a blessing but also a command, "Be fruitful and multiply" (Genesis 1:28). Children are a reward from God. "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward" (Psalm 127:3). The blessings God promised His chosen people in the Old Testament when they entered the land always included the fruit of the womb: babies (Deuteronomy 7:12-14).

Babies are part of God's good design. The only thing that was not good at creation was man being alone (Genesis 2:18). We were designed for community, fellowship and family. Sex and babies were part of the created order, and the procreative process was in place before sin entered the world. Having babies is part of the normal order of creation. Why?

God wants the earth to be full of people. Isaiah 45:18 says, "For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it empty, he formed it to be inhabited!): 'I am the Lord, and there is no other.'" And how will all these babies come to know God and worship Him?

Married couples are called to make babies — disciples of Jesus Christ.[2] All Christians are called to make disciples (Matthew 28:19), that is, spiritual children. But Christians who are married have the added calling — where God enables them — to make physical offspring (Malachi 2:15). Couples are called to be fruitful and faithful to raise children in the fear and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4), to the praise of His great glory. And where will that glory be fully realized?

Heaven will be full of worshipers. Only people are made in God's image. Every baby born is an eternal being made in God's image, with the potential to praise Him. We know that one day the earth will be filled with the knowledge of God as the waters cover the sea (Isaiah 11:9). Babies born and given hope through Christ are those people who will one day enter heaven. Where there will be "a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, 'Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!'" (Revelation 7:9-10).

The Bible is full of glorious motivation for having babies. Steve and I just weren't in the habit of studying those passages. We didn't even know about a lot of them until after we started researching for our book Start Your Family. It's not that we weren't reading the Bible. We were, but we were reading with an eye toward what we hoped to get out of it, rather than coming to it to learn what the Bible says about God. We are people of our age — influenced by the world around us that says you read the Bible for what you can get from it. God calls us to something different. Scripture tells us that we are responsible for studying God's Word, for hiding it in our hearts, for knowing what God commands and obeying Him.

You don't have to be married to answer the question, "Do you hope to have children?" It's helpful to start thinking about it now. Recognize where the desire for babies comes from. Then submit your desire to God, and let Him shape it to conform with His will, resisting the pressure around you to conform it to the pattern of the world. He'll change you in the process, making you more like Him. And that's one of the best things about His good gift of children: the way they point us to our Father.

Inhuman: Undercover in America's Late Term Abortion

As I cried through this video and was reminded again that today is National Day of Prayer, how dare we ask God's blessing on our nation?  Humiliation, la-main-site-inhuman-adrepentance, from all of us also for allowing this infanticide all across the nation.  Please share and pray.  Women (and men) are destroying America.  May their eyes be open, may justice be brought to land.  The blood of millions of little ones cry out to the Lord, "when will our blood be avenged", I hear.  I really fear what will become of us if this isn't stopped.

It can be stopped, we must each do our part.  Sign the petition.

What are some ideas to bring more awareness to this?

We Must Speak Up The Truth About Abortion: Graphic Post

This is the actual picture from the DA's grand jury report against Gosnell, the abortionist who is on trial for murder and infanticide and numerous witnesses have testified the most atrocious circumstances in his abortion clinic: babies being beheaded who were born alive, stored baby parts, blood stained equipment, forced abortions and on and on.  How can this be going on in America.  Of course, this is just one unbelievable case.  I have the baby killing mill here in my own town across the street.  How can we continue with life as usual.  I believe God will hold us that know accountable.  Our hearts must be broken in light of this and at least PRAY daily.  My little children remember the babies in the womb in America every single day.  If you need a reminder, let your little ones remind you.  Believe me, they won't forget the babies!

A UK news article: Philadelphia Abortion Clinic 'Beheaded Live Babies'  Why won't the American media speak the truth?

Ten members of the U.S. House spoke out on the trial of abortionist and called out the mainstream media for its basic blackout on Gosnell.

As New Jersey’s Chris Smith eloquently stated:
If Dr. Gosnell had walked into a nursery and shot seven infants with an AR-15, it would be national news and the subject of presidential hand-wringing. …

Will the decades-long major national news media cover-up of the brutality—and violence—of abortion methods ever end? …

Will Americans ever be told the horrifying details as to how — and how often — abortionists dismember, decapitate, and chemically poison innocent babies?

A more valid question has rarely been asked by a politician. Representative Chris Smith – along withRepresentatives Vicky Hartzler, Scott Perry, Scott Garrett, Roger Williams, John Fleming, Joe Pitts, Keith Rothfus, Andy Harris, and Marlin Stutzman – spoke on the House floor for nearly an hour.

Perspectives on Abortion Interview Videos

I am a Pro-life activist, as much as I can do with my little people.  One thing is for sure, my children pray for the safety of the babies in the womb everyday without fail.  This is the season of the 40 days of Life.  Our church participates by praying in front of our local Abortion clinic and monthly prayer there too year round.  I don't know any other Evangelical church that does, so we are blessed to be encouraged in this war by our spiritual family.

We love to watch these videos my brother and our good friend Ana did as they would go into the streets.  It is an effective way to influence people and safe a life one at a time.  Note how Ana and Ignacio keep staying on topic and asking key questions.

Fertility Reversal

I just met a couple who had a fertility reversal.  Like many others, they had been deceived by the world's culture but after learning of how God sees life and that children are a blessing, the husband had a reversal.  For those discouraged by the amount of funds you need to do this here is hope.  There is a wonderful ministry called www.blessedarrows.org .  This particular couple live in California.  But they found a doctor in Oaklahoma who did the operation for about $1500.

May the Lord prosper you and make you fruitful.

Blessed Motherhood

"Oh that God would give every mother a vision of the glory and splendor of the work that is given to her when a babe is place in her bosom to be nursed and trained! "Oh that God would give every mother a vision of the glory and splendor of the work that is given to her when a babe is place in her bosom to be nursed and trained!

Could she have but one glimpse in to the future of that life as it reaches on into eternity; could she look into it's soul to see its possibilities could she be made to understand her own personal responsibility for the training of this child, for the development of its life, and for its destiny,--she would see that in all God's world there is no other work so noble and so worthy of her best powers, and she would commit to no others hands the sacred and holy trust given to her."

How should we vote in California 2010 Elections

Psalm 119 says "blessed are we if we keep His precepts and statutes. .. Then I shall not be ashamed...  With my whole heart have I sought Thee, let me not wonder from Your commandments..."  I really want to type the whole Psalm but we can read it in meditation.  It is a wonderful Word of us keeping the Word of the Lord above anything, any other thought and any other ideas as good as they may be.

David was a man who delighted in God's Law and asked of God to preserve him so that he can enjoy keeping His Law.

I see Californians panicking in light of the political elections  coming up in a few a couple of weeks.  The answer is always in God's Word.  I know politicians may despise us as well as other Christians who can't think Biblically because they spend more time listening to media, polls, other "good ideas or solitions or reasonings" than like David, submerging and embracing and upholding the Law of God, His Holy Word.  Fear cannot drive us to decide on who to vote for.  I have spoken to Christians who have embraced pragmatic solutions out of fear to justify their choice at the Ballot box.  Nonetheless, the Bible offers definitive answers to these questions.  Irretionality is everywhere and people have looked at their own wisdom and believed a political party out of popularity.

Our actions must be guided by the Bible--the only authority to Christians and nations.  I know one thing, although evil prevail and the gates of hell seem so close to us, they will never prevail.

I fear for those who say they're Christians, yet compromise Biblical values and God's Law while voting.  We must never forget what He has spoken.  We must not be afraid.  Though we're few, we're His Remament that will not compromise, stand alone and be faithful to His Word, that we may not be ashamed like David wrote.  May we turn our eyes to Jesus and find our answers in His Holy Word.

Some of the arguments going around out there: "He doesn't stand a chance", "Not Christian, but kind of conservetive," "The lesser of two evils".

Would you vote for a Mormon, a Budhist, a Muslim or a Hindu?  They have some similar values as Christians?  Absolutely not.  That is erroneous thinking.  That will bring us under rulership of a pagan god, not a Christian nation that America was founded on but  a pluralistic nation.  Christians have believed that at any cost or compromise we can be a Christian nation again.  This is simply a big lie for the father of lies.  King David certainly would not agree with that.

Although our Constitution is not a perfect document, it was nonetheless written based on Biblical principals and acknoledging the Almighty God to be above any man, magistrate and the God of this nation.

Another argument, "Well God can use anybody in office".  Yes, God used a muderer Pharoah to show who was God, but we don't vote for him.   God's sovereingty over ungody rulers is not a vindication for us to support such kind of rulers.  God is merciful and providential.  He has absolute control.  This cannot be our logic.

I fear the greatest evil that can happen to California this November second is not that either Jerry Brown or Meg Whitman become Governor but that God's Church have lost conscience of His Holy Word as our Authority.  Soon Christians will be more and more will be lowering their standards and even the remnanent give in to this kind of logic.  This is a far more evil than having pagans sitting in our government seats.  Will our conscience be clear before the Lord?  Will we care about what God says?  Not, who is elected.  And I do care who gets elected.  That's the second reason I'm writing this post.  Proverbs says, as we experience, when the righteous rule the people rejoice.

We can't endorse a polical party more that God's Law because it is our comfort when things get tough.  We run to His standards, not flee from them.

The religious view of our Governor and all magistrates matters a lot.  This is about a religious worldview not about conservetive values.  There is a God who is concerned about the affairs of men.

Others might say,  "you say you voted for this, but you really voted for that"  because you're throwing away your vote.  Does this logic stand the test of Scripture?  Or, "the most important thing at the end of the day is to stop this candidate from being elected, at all costs".  Is that Biblical?

California will be safe if the church has a clear conscience before God, more than who is elected.  For the Church is meant to rule through prayer.  Though I do pray God would give us a righteous governor but we can't be caught up in fear.

We make judgments by God's Biblical standards, not by what we feel, or what we think.  So, we must ask when choosing our candidates, "What does the Bible say?"  There are no perfect candidates, because they're all men, and man is sinful in nature.

Before any further, I would like to say that I was saddened after our primary elections, because the Church had an opportunity to elect a righteous man who fear God,  who would have governed according to His Law and be a servant of God as the Bible says and lastly interpret the Constitution as it is, and because the Church was so divided and threw God's Word out the window, we missed this blessing.  He was no perfect man, his stands and all issues I didn't agree on, but he feared God.  You can pray for someone like him to hear God's direction and you can discuss what does the Bible say on those issues and he would listen and humble himself, hopefully.  Now, Elections are just around the corner, but I believe, God will now make a fine line between those who will like David follow Him wholeheartedy and not compromise and those who will again make the same mistake embracing popularity or man's reasoning.  Just as we missed a righteous ruler as a President, we did already as a California Governor.  And now I pray we can learn this lesson once and for all.

Again, no man is perfect, but must be qualified.  Just as the church elder, not perfect, must be qualified.  The Bible gives these qualifications.  If our only choices is a dear lady who supports abortion and homosexual couples to adopt children, and a total liberal, the answer is: none of the above.  For God says that the children are dearest and closest to His heart.  No candidate who  does not have God's view on this is worthy of the righteous Christian vote.  We have this privilege, this gift in America to be a part of politics by our vote.    Our system should be a self-government as our founding fathers established it to be.

Thus, when we're to cast our vote to elect a minister of God's Law as Romans 14 clearly addresses.  God is the Law giver over this nation and any pagan nation as well.  We're bound by Christ's rules as His ambassadors, as His representatives.  We're to come back to the Lord one day and have a clear conscience that we represented Him well.  We're represent His Kingdom and will be accountable to Him in all we do.  Let us stand with integrity before our sons and daughters even the way we vote.

Thank you God that I am an American, as my secondary citizenship.  For in the millenium may we be worthy of discipling nations.california voting elections 2010

Exposing The Lies

Posted By Mrs. June Fuentes on September 15, 2010

I want to get straight to the heart of the issue and expose some of the many and greatest lies of feminism. As you read through this list, honestly ask yourself which of these lies you may have believed in the past or present in some form or another.

Shall we begin?

1. I have my rights.

2. I can have it all.

3. I should not have to live with unfulfilled longings.

4. A career outside the home is more valuable and fulfilling than being a wife and mother.

5. It’s all about me.

6. If my husband is passive I need to lead.

7. If I submit, I’ll be miserable.

8. I have to have ________ to make me happy.

9. Children are a hindrance and a burden.

10. Women are smarter than men.

These are only 10 lies that I have chosen that I think are the most common in our culture, and whether they fall under the categories of worldly, fleshly or feminist, these seem to be the ones women seem to fall prey to most frequently. These lies are most dangerous as many of them seek to weaken the family unit in one way or another (a form of Marxism). It takes the focus of of living a life for God and doing all we can for His glory and instead creates false idols that we worship secretly. These lies keep us from living out full lives as God intended and how He designed us to be. Lies hinders us from receiving God’s best. Lies keeps us miserable, unsatisfied and always longing for more—while God’s ways are focused on joy of the Lord, satisfaction in the Cross and contentment for His grace is sufficient.

I know that growing up I was exposed to a barrage feminism in schools, books, television, magazines, movies, music, peers, billboards, role models, etc. It was rampant and everywhere in culture (much like brainwashing) and still is today. Like Satan whispering to Eve in the garden, these lies whisper to us throughout the course of the day when we are taking care of our homes, raising the children, supporting our husbands, etc. Satan is trying his best to get our attention for he knows if he can thwart our efforts and attentions we will abandon our roles. We will abandon our homes. We will abandon our position as helpmeet and mothers. He knows we can’t train the next generation of godly seed if we are focused on ourselves and wallowing in a pool of self-pity.

Wake up, ladies! The trumpet is sounding–get back to your posts! The enemy lurks and wants your children, your marriage, your home! As Christian women we must know how vital our roles are in society, we must understand that we (second only to God) are the cornerstones in helping to build strong, Christian societies in our nation today….but if we abandon our roles we contribute to it’s demise and destruction. We abandon it by forsaking our roles and chasing after the lies.

Feminism has stolen so much from Christianity and America. If we are faithful and diligent we can reclaim it. But it begins with you. Stop listening to the fatal lies and turn back to the pure, holy Word of God for your source of life and direction.

The Call CA 2010

Pro life children pro lifeWe had a great time in Sacramento at The Call.  It was intense the few moments I was able to be there and engage in the intercession going on.  We interceeded greatly for the human trafficking in CA.

Praise the Lord, 2 hours after this intercession, News reported that Craigslist had been uncovered to be the main website used for this and they had just agreed to take down this link/service.

Lizbeth, Sarah and Yehoshua all stood for LIFE.  We will continue to mourn and cry out and speak out for the unborn.

PRAYING AT THE CALL

My heart melted during this time of travail.  About 20,000 people gathered to cry out to God for CA, to humble ourselves and see a turn around in this prescious state.

We love babies.

Babies stand for LIFE

and....of course there is Betsy who goes everywhere with us as an "addition" to the family.  She loves Yeshua too and stands for LIFE

The First Blast of the Trumpet Against the Monstrous Regiment of Women

Feminist, feminism, womanhoodA fascinating documentary on the effects of feminism on our society...

Watch this trailer:

monstrousregiment

In their documentary,  The Monstrous Regiment of Women, Colin and Emily Gunn have produced an incredible, well-researched, articulate, and powerful expose’ of feminism, its agenda, and its far-reaching, destructive influence on society. They do not just dwell on the negative, however, but give hope by standing firmly on God’s Holy Word and revealing His high esteem of, and plan for, women.

The Gunns do a masterful job of contrasting the ugly truth behind feminism and the havoc it wreaks, with the truth of Biblical womanhood and the joy and beauty that comes from living a life according to the standards set forth in Scripture. The stark difference between feminism (truly another word for self-worship) and Biblical womanhood is stunning.

The cast includes many godly, intelligent, and influential women who are outspoken defenders of Biblical womanhood and lovely examples of the truth of Scripture and lives lived in joyful obedience to the Lord.

Although we were fairly familiar with feminism, its history and agenda, we had our eyes opened all over again and learned even more. We were appalled at the deliberate strategies, carefully planned efforts, and absolute, complete selfishness of this movement.

We would highly recommend this film to every Christian. I would especially encourage fellow believers who are critical of the film (especially those who consider themselves Christan feminists or egalitarians) to prayerfully and carefully watch it with a willingness to truly view it through the lens of Scripture. You might be very surprised at what you find. While you might not agree with all the feminist agendas (and might be appalled at much of it), you may discover that egalitarianism bears many similarities in a diluted form. It is always profitable to re-examine one’s beliefs in the light of Scripture.

When one begins to understand the huge role feminism has played in seeking to destroy the traditional, Biblical family unit, homemakers, manhood, parental authority, morality, marriage, the innocence of children, and – most horrifying of all – children themselves, one realizes that “monstrous” is an excellent and accurate description of this group and its reign of terror.

[Note: One caveat: Take the Gunns at their word of warning at the beginning of the film and do not allow your younger children to view it. (I would keep the film on a high shelf.) There is heartbreaking footage of aborted babies (including video footage) that would be far too much for children to handle. I could not watch it myself. What I did see left me freshly reeling and grieved to the core over the horror of abortion. That one scene best sums up the monstrosities of the feminist movement. This would be an excellent film for crisis pregnancy centers to have on hand.

There was a time when Government called the Nation to a Day for Fasting and Prayer

founding-fathers-prayer, day of prayer and fasting and humiliationGod has given these instructions. It's a God thing, not a man's good idea. The word of the Lord came to Joel...consecrate a fast, proclaim a solemn assembly; gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land to the house of the Lord your God, and cry out to the Lord. (Joel 1:1, 14).  And in 2 Chronicles 7:14

There was a time when our Presidents acknowledged God was above our nation and only He could save it.

  • "I HAVE therefore thought it fit to recommend, that Wednesday, the 9th day of May next be observed throughout the United States, as a day of Solemn Humiliation, Fasting and Prayer" President John Adams' March 23, 1798

  • "to recommend that a day be set apart for Humiliation, Fasting and Prayer throughout the Union."  President James Buchannan Dec. 14, 1860

  • "I HAVE therefore thought fit to appoint, and with the advice and consent of the Council, I do hereby appoint Thursday, the Second Day of April next, to be observed as a Day of Public Fasting, Humiliation and Prayer throughout this Commonwealth:-Calling upon the Ministers of the Gospel, of every Denomination, with their respective Congregations, to assemble on that Day, and devoutly implore the Divine forgiveness of our Sins," Massachusetts Gov. Samuel Adams, February 28, 1795

  • "I do hereby appoint Friday the Twenty-Seventh Day of March next, to be observed as a Day of Fasting, Humiliation and Prayer throughout this State.  And I do hereby call upon the People of all denominations of Religion, devoutly and solemnly to keep said Day and appropriate it as a Day of special religious service, devoted to God in solemn Duties of penitential acknowledgment of their Sins, private and social, against the Divine Will and government." Connecticut Gov. Jonathan Trumbull's February 20, 1807

  • I do therefore recommend the third Thursday in August next, as a convenient day to be set apart for the devout purposes of rendering to the Sovereign of the Universe and the Benefactor of mankind, the public homage due to his holy attributes; of acknowledging the transgressions which might justly provoke the manifestations of His divine displeasures; of seeking His merciful forgiveness." President James Madison, August 1812

  • "to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next as a Day of Thanksgiving and Prayer to our beneficent Father, who dwelleth in the heavens. And I recommend to them that, while offering up the ascriptions justly due to him that, for such singular deliverances and blessings; they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it, as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes, to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquility, and union." President Abraham Lincoln October 3, 1863

  •  "I do recommend and assign Thursday, the 26th day of November next, to be devoted by the people of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be; that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection of the people of this country previous to their becoming a nation...and also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations, and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions" President George Washington, October 17, 1789

Although our President Obama declared before the world that Americans “do not consider ourselves a Christian nation", it's simply no true.  America was once a praised nation by the world because it's Governmental leaders would humble themselves before His Mighty Hand.  Now, young and old citizens of America have called the nation to a solemn assembly.  There is hope, here is former Governor Mike Huckabee calling the nation to a day of fasting and prayer:

Hope for California 09/04/10

the call california"If my people who are called by My Name would humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land" 2 Chronicles 7:14.

I strongly believe this powerful Scripture to be true to our day.  It has been true throughout history.  I've seen communities, cities and now nations being transformed from  the principles in this passage.  This is a Scripture calling us, the Church, "If My people", to humble ourselves, to repent, to cry out for His mercy, acknowledging that our State and Country is in the condition it is because of us.  We've abandoned the walls, of prayer, of government and of family.  We've been asleep and in slumber following the patterns of this world.  Although this writing is about Hope for California, I admit that I have been so disollusioned, disappointed and deeply saddened to see the Church in such complaciency, slumberness and careless about our State and families.  Each election day reflects how much we care about righteousness, life, and family.

But, with tears in my eyes, I plead to all who call upon the Name of the Lord, to rise up and take up your post in the Wall.  Fathers, take your post in guarding your family and State/country (Ezequiel 22:30); Mothers, take your post in praying and loving your husbands and children (Titus 2:4); Children, take your posts in obedience and purity (Col. 3:20).  And we should all stand as a solemn assembly before our merciful righteous God.  This is not a time to hide in the caves of our churches, it is a time to voice out.  We are forerunners, I've made a commitment, not to be quiet anymore but like a John the Baptise, I will prepare the way for the soon Coming of Our King.  I will call sin, "sin".  "An open rebuke is better than love concealed. Proverbs 27:5.

Join us this Saturday Sept. 3-4 in our State Capitol Sacramento for a solemn assembly.  We need revival, we need transformation and we need a reformation.

We all carry the presence of God and we have seen many miracles happening through our lives. Even with all this we know that God is bigger than all the work we can do on our own. This is much bigger! We need to influence our culture, we need to see God touch our government, education, finance and every other sphere that influences our communities.

If we do nothing but hide we can't complain abou the condition of our world. As the light is pulled away darkness will show up and overtake. Let your light shine that all might see the Lord. Let's all do our part and let's see God do His.

Let's believe for Revival, Renewal, Transformation, Reformation, Social Chage, Church Planting Movements, Healings, Preaching of the Word, Missions, New Song, Prophetic Insight, Kingdom Businesses, Kingdom Advancement....All of it.

Enemies of the Family, Enemies of God Part 1

[caption id="attachment_491" align="alignleft" width="150" caption="karl marx, enemy of God, enemy of family"]karl marx, enemy of God, enemy of family[/caption]

Have you ever wonder how society, in particular America, got so far from God?  Was it all planned out? Or did things just happened?  Certainly, as we look back to history and research what certain God hater influencers did, we discover the truth about many things unfolding before our eyes today.  Here is one of them:

Who was Karl Marx?

A German Philosopher, a Satanist, whose goal in life was “to dethrone God and destroy capitalism”.  He hated the concept of submission and honor to God ordained authority that was nourished and modeled in the family.  He believed the family stood in the way of his ambitions to replace Christianity with international socialism.   Today, he has millions of followers, most are women.

Why do we need to know about Karl Marx?

Because practically every person in the West today including Christians look at the world through Karl Marx’s eyes.  Marxism appears in children’s movies, Sat. morning cartoons, universities, seminaries and teachers’ s colleges, elementary schools, comic books, magazines, most movies, and the evening news.  Watered down versions of Marxism are even taught from the pulpits of our local churches.  The entire Western culture has become so Marxist that all of us have become relatively comfortable with a Marxist worldview.

How did Marx’s ideas became so influential?

In 1923, Marx’s followers organized the Frankfurt School to win “The Revolution”, a non-violent overthrow of every nation in the name of communism.  Russia was the first nation to fall, in 1917.   In the next targeted nations it failed.  The problem was Christianity.  They said the revolution would be stalled until Christianity was destroyed, not by guns, but by an alternative theology.  Once socialized with this new theology, the revolution would proceed smoothly and without resistance.  Christendom would be dead, and international communism would be the dominant religion of all nations.  We see that advancing rapidly in our nation nowadays.

This new theology was a clever “social science”, dressed as behavioral psychology taught at the School.  They got the ideas into every school, every movie studio, and every university in the West.  They replaced Biblical Truth with error and made error “political correct”.

For example: if the Bible taught family-based education, they insisted in forced state schooling with a curriculum of their own design.  If the Bible taught make leadership, they insisted on forced cultural changes to place women over en in every area of society.  If the Bible placed high value on children, they insisted on birth control and abortion.

One of the school’s colleague, Antonio Gramsci explains the process: “The civilized world has been saturated with Christianity for 2000years,” a culture rooted in Christian worldview and practices could only be captured from within.  The recipe for total cultural domination was to “Marxise the inner man…to alter the Christian mind to turn it into its opposite in all its details so that it would become not merely a non-Christian mind but an anti-Christian mind.  He advocated destroying of the civilization from within.  “Everything must be done in the name of man’s dignity and rights, and in the name of his autonomy and freedom from outside restraint.  From the claims and constraints of Christianity above all,”

Women were first on their list to Marxise, then men, then the entire culture, just as Satan targeted a woman first, too.  Our enemies know that women are the weaker vessel and easily led and incredibly influential over their husbands and children and they are excellent loyal helpers.

“Unless millions of women are with us,” stated Lenin, “we cannot exercise the proletarian dictatorship, cannot construct on communist lines.  We must find our way to them, we must study and try to find that way.”  He insisted, “there can be no real mass movement without women”.

And thus they did.  Today many Christian women have not been able to resist feminism.  Some praise Betty Friedan as a great liberator of modern women.  At least that’s we’re taught in school.  How many Christian women know that she was a Stalinist-Marxist activist, a professional propagandist working for the Communists?  One author, David Horowitz points out “…her interest in women’s liberation was just a subtext of her real desire to create a Soviet America.”  She embraced Karl Marx’s plan to exploit women.  He wrote in 1868,  “major social transformations are impossible without ferment among the women.”  That’s want she did.  Friedman made women unhappy with the joys and duties of womanhood.

Perhaps Marx’s most ingenious and successful move in tearing down Christendom was to inspire women to tear down their homes and families with tier own two hands.

California's Marriage Law Under Fire

[caption id="attachment_483" align="alignleft" width="150"]Wedding Rings, marriage Wedding Rings, marriage[/caption]

This week the eyes of America, if not the world, are in California.  Will California's Judge and Governor ban the Constitution of California which states "Marriage is Between a Man and a Woman"?  Twice the people of California have voted but it's legistators have been ignoring the votes of the people.

Now one judge has decided that Gay Marriages are allowed in the same category.   I know many don't agree with this ruling.  What is there to be done?  It is the citizens of California who have the power to impeech this judge who is an employee of the State.  We cannot sit and watch.  We must act, we must call, we must make noise and a lot of it.

So many people don't like the way legistators rule, but who put them there in the first place?  So many people don't care to vote, so they can't complain.  Californians CANNOT be silent anymore.  Moreover, the people of God must pray and act, pray and vote.  We cannot be selfish and think of ourselves only, but what kind of society will our children inherit from us. A Sodom?  Love your future generations.  Anywhere you live, because other States are surely to follow California.  Worst yet, if this case is taken to Supreme Court, which has just become liberal with the new judge in place.

We are people of prayer and grassroots movement.  We have called people to gather together and pray, until something happens.  We'll be posting updates on this about what to do too.  But this homosexual agenda must STOP.

"I don't want anymore children"

This is a very popular question I hear from mothers (generally not from fathers) who decide to tie their tubes or have their husbands have a visectamy.  "Two is enough", they say, "My pregnancy was very traumatic and I don't want to go through that again" or "now I can catch up on sleep",  "now I can do things I really want to do".  But then they would say something like.  "But sometimes, I wish for another one".

Wow!  It really saddens me that Christians have said "No" to life.  They also value their life, or self fulfillment  more than the life of a precious child whom God calls it a blessing.  When I see them with their little ones, they are happy.  I see how God got them through the hard times of pregnancy or birth, if it was a hard one.  How quickly do we forget the way God saves.  When He sends a life, He will see it through and He determines how long that life will live.

Many people I know have made this descision of not having anymore children.   In most situations, the wife has convinced the husband this is the right choice.  Doesn't it sound like, "It's my body and I can decide if I want to have it?  God cannot control me here, He would not know when or how to make a wise descision for me about when and how many children I can have."  All of the sudden, God is ignorant concerning when and how and to whom He chooses to bless with a prescious child.  The One who created us and knows us intimately, does not really know what is best for us?  I cannot trust Him in this, so I have to take action into my own account and end giving life for good.

Have you, or anyone you know, made this descicion?  How do you feel about it now?  Please feel safe and loved in sharing your feelings, mournings, or relfections.

Demographic Bomb

"'Demographic Bomb' shows what happens when countries comprising 80% of the world's economy have plummeting numbers of workers, consumers and innovators - leading to falling consumer spending, and too few workers to support the elderly," McLerran disclosed.

Potential crisis situation in most countries (especially the developed ones, Japan being the leader) characterized by an increasing number of older people dependent on pension schemes a direct result of demographic transition. As the dependency ratio rises, the income of the working segment (comprising of a declining number of younger people) of a population comes under increasing pressure to provide support for the non-working (older and growing) segment.
